Meet our President – Kathy Kulisek

Kathy lived her entire adult life in Chattanooga, receiving her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from UTC. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Tennessee and is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs.

Kathy supplemented her education by completing coursework in The MBA Guidebook; The CFO Guidebook; Construction Accounting; AICPA: Business Valuation; The Income Approach and the Asset Based Approach to Valuation; as well as AICPA Real Estate Valuation; Individual/Trust and Corporate Tax, AICPA Expert Witness Testimony; Tax Aspects of Buying & Selling a Business Working with the IRS; Tax Aspects of Divorce and Separation; Trust and Estate Tax Planning; Merger and Acquisitions; Fraud Prevention; Financial Statement Manipulation in Privately Held Companies; and Cash Flow and Financial Statement Analysis, to name a few.

Kathy began her career as an accountant and auditor for one of the “Big Five” accounting firms. She then moved to the private sector where she eventually became CFO of a Coca-Cola Affiliated Company. She has since served as Chief Financial Officer of multiple companies in a variety of fields, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for different for-profit and non-profit organizations in the area.

Kathy’s experience has allowed her to see the many levels and facets of the financial challenges that businesses often face, which made her understand the immediate need to support small businesses and help them grow and compete in their industries. With this in mind, she started KDK Consulting, LLC to offer an array of extensive experience to the small businesses in the area, helping them achieve their short and long term goals.
